MonkeyTilt is closing on 9 November: how to get your balance out through Tilt Rips

MonkeyTilt stopped taking bets on 13 October 2026 and closes on 9 November. Balances are withdrawn through Tilt Rips. The steps, the word transferred, the letter from the Señor Tilt account and the licence check.

In May 2026 MonkeyTilt announced $1 million blackjack hands, $6 million slot wins and unlimited daily withdrawals. Five months later, on 13 October, it stopped taking bets. The casino and the sportsbook close for good on 9 November 2026. Player balances now sit behind a login on a different site, a Pokémon card platform called Tilt Rips.

If you still have money on MonkeyTilt, you have until 9 November, and the house says you can withdraw after that too. Below is how the withdrawal works, what the word “transferred” on the home page really means, the reason the founder gives, the licence check we ran on 19 October and the questions MonkeyTilt has not answered.

  • Casino: MonkeyTilt (monkeytilt.com), run by Kong Quest Ltd of Costa Rica, licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission.
  • Play stopped: 13 October 2026. No new bets, no deposits, no sign-ups, no bonuses.
  • Site closes: 9 November 2026. MonkeyTilt says withdrawals stay open after that date.
  • Where to withdraw: log in at tiltrips.com with your MonkeyTilt account and open Withdraw in the wallet.
  • Bonus balance: converted into cash you can withdraw.
  • Payout time: “typically processed within 24-48 hours”, says the MonkeyTilt notice. The Tilt Rips help centre aims for 1-3 hours. ID documents first if your account is not verified.
  • Reason: the closure notice gives none. A letter on the home page says the team will “focus fully on collectibles”.
  • Licence check, 19 October: the Tobique validator still reads VALID. MonkeyTilt says its licence “is being surrendered”.

Alex Jovanovic: “This is the calmest casino closure I have read in a long time. Clear dates, a bonus that turns into cash, withdrawals after the last day. The one thing I would change is the door they send you through. Your casino money now lives one click away from a pack-opening screen.”

What MonkeyTilt announced

The notice sits on a legal page called “MonkeyTilt is closing”. It opens with two sentences: “We have decided to close MonkeyTilt. Our licence is being surrendered and the site will cease operating on 9 November 2026.” The page we read on 19 October is marked “Last updated October 15, 2026”.

The MonkeyTilt is closing page, last updated October 15, 2026: play ended, the site closes on 9 November 2026
The closure notice on monkeytilt.com, 19 October 2026.

As of 13 October all casino and sportsbook play has stopped. Deposits are off, new registrations are closed and promotions have ended. Accounts stay open, and the house says you can log in, see your balance and withdraw “at any time, before 9 November and afterwards”.

There was no countdown. MonkeyTilt explains why in its own FAQ: “We decided it was fairer to stop immediately rather than run a period where people might feel they should use up their balances. Your money is better in your pocket than in play.” Any round, hand or spin already running when the switch flipped “was completed and settled as normal”.

How to withdraw your MonkeyTilt balance

MonkeyTilt itself no longer has a cashier. The withdrawal button lives on Tilt Rips, the founder’s collectibles site, and your old MonkeyTilt login works there. These are the steps from the notice, with what we would add.

  1. Type tiltrips.com yourself. Do not follow links from emails or DMs. Closures attract fake “refund” pages.
  2. Log in with your MonkeyTilt email and password. Screenshot the balance you see before you touch anything. The time on your screen is part of the proof.
  3. Verify if asked. Every Tilt Rips withdrawal needs a verified email. Unverified MonkeyTilt accounts must also send ID before money is released. The form at tiltrips.com/settings/verification asks for your legal name and date of birth as they appear on your ID, then your home address.
  4. Open the cashier and switch to Withdraw. The cashier opens on the Deposit tab. Withdraw is the button next to it. Choose a method and an amount, then confirm.
  5. Test a new crypto address with a small amount. A wrong network or a typo in the address is the one loss nobody can reverse.
  6. Keep the withdrawal ID and the transaction hash. If the payment is late, those two lines are what support will ask for.

Which methods you can withdraw to

The deposit and withdrawal lists on Tilt Rips are different. Read the withdrawal list before you plan your exit.

If you deposited with Cash App, Google Pay, a wire or Interac, the withdrawal list does not offer the same route back. Pick a crypto coin, Venmo, a debit card or a bank account instead. The bank examples in the help centre are all US banks: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Capital One.

How long it takes

MonkeyTilt says withdrawals are “typically processed within 24-48 hours” and adds: “We have not added any restrictions, holds or conditions because of the closure.” The Tilt Rips withdrawal FAQ is faster on paper: “we aim to complete all withdrawals within 1-3 hours”, and most should reach “a final resolution within a maximum of 24 hours”. Plan for the longer number. A Pending status means the withdrawal is in the queue. While it is pending you can ask the support chat to cancel it, which helps if you spot a wrong address. A reversed withdrawal goes back to your balance and can be tried again.

We have no MonkeyTilt balance, so we could not time a payout ourselves. If you withdraw, tell us in the comments how long it took. We will add real times to this post.

If nothing arrives, write to support@tiltrips.com or support@monkeytilt.com and keep the reply. The second address, the house says, stays “available after closure”. If the operator does not solve it, the Tobique validator page has a “File a Complaint” button. The regulator asks players to take payout disputes to the operator first, in writing.

Alex Jovanovic: “Withdraw this week. The house promises the door stays open after 9 November. I believe it means that. A promise is still easier to keep with a working website behind it.”

“Transferred” to Tilt Rips: read that word twice

The closure notice speaks only about withdrawals. The banner on the MonkeyTilt home page says a little more: “The site closes 9 November 2026. Your balance has been transferred to Tilt Rips (tiltrips.com) where it can be utilized, withdrawn, etc.”

“Utilized” means you can spend it. Tilt Rips is a separate company, Tilt Rips LLC of Nevada. MonkeyTilt was run by Kong Quest Ltd of Costa Rica. Your casino balance has moved from one company to another, onto a site that sells card packs.

Tilt Rips sells digital packs backed by real Pokémon, One Piece and sports cards. On 19 October the lobby showed packs between $0.10 and $3,000. Each pack shows a value range and a “Volatility” slider. One pack in the lobby showed a range of $500 to $220K with the slider on “Speculative”. A live strip at the top lists recent pulls with multipliers like 1.61x and 2.40x.

After a pull you can ship the card, keep it in a free vault, list it on the marketplace or sell it back to Tilt Rips at 90% of market value. The site also advertises “Get up to 200% welcome bonus”. Prices, multipliers and a volatility setting will feel familiar to anyone who played on MonkeyTilt. The pack is a random draw and you decide what you pay for it.

Alex Jovanovic: “If you came to Tilt Rips to cash out, cash out first. Open a pack later, with new money, if you still want one. A casino balance spent on a $500 pack is no longer a withdrawal.”

Why MonkeyTilt is closing

The closure notice gives no reason. The reason came in a letter titled “Goodbye MonkeyTilt, Hello Tilt Rips”. It sits on the MonkeyTilt home page without a date. The same text went out on X on 17 October 2026 from the account Señor Tilt, @senortilt:

The letter says the decision had the support of the board, the team and the investors. Early employees and investors keep “that same equity in our collectibles endeavors”. It claims the collectibles business is already worth more than “everything we’ve built with Monkey Tilt”. It also says the team had to drop “any non-core products that could interfere with liquidity options and upside for our investors and employees”.

That last phrase will get quoted out of context. In startup language, “liquidity options” usually means ways for investors to cash out later, through a sale or a listing. A gambling licence on the same balance sheet makes those deals harder. The letter does not say MonkeyTilt was short of money, and nothing we read shows that it was.

The X post gives the letter a date. It went out on 17 October, four days after play stopped and two days after the last update to the closure notice. Count back “6-8 months of planning” from there and the start lands between mid-February and mid-April 2026. That is before the 5 May announcement of the high-limit deal. That is our arithmetic. The letter promises “a much longer tweet later” about the journey.

A shift of focus that started in May

The closure came in October. The move to collectibles started much earlier. Tilt Rips launched in beta in mid-May 2026, about a week after MonkeyTilt announced its million-dollar blackjack limits. It opened with Pokémon packs. One Piece and sports cards came later.

By summer the cards had moved into the casino itself. The MonkeyTilt sidebar has a Collectibles block with Packs, Showcases and a Marketplace. The casino footer advertises Tilt Rips with “Get up to 200% welcome bonus”. And the MonkeyTilt legal section hosts the terms of a pack sold by Tilt Rips LLC.

  • The pack: Tilt Treasure Pack, invite-only, US$500 each, on sale from 22 July 2026.
  • The top prize: one “Tilt Treasure Grand Prize” with a stated value of US$1,000,000, paid in collectibles. No cash alternative, delivery in instalments over up to 12 months.
  • Who gets in: access unlocks after at least US$100,000 in pack spend on Tilt Rips, or through a VIP transfer from another collectibles platform.
  • Last update: 8 October 2026. Five days later MonkeyTilt stopped taking bets.

The day after the letter, Señor Tilt posted about stock for the new business.

Now even the withdrawal button lives on tiltrips.com. From the outside it looks as if the team’s time and marketing went to Tilt Rips months before the end, and the casino was left to run out its days. The letter says almost the same in its own words: “We cannot afford to have a minute of our bandwidth taken away from what we are doing.”

Alex Jovanovic: “A $500 pack with a million-dollar top prize and a $100,000 entry ticket, and its rules sit on a casino’s legal pages. By July MonkeyTilt was already working as a shop window for Tilt Rips. October only made it official.”

Who ran MonkeyTilt and is the licence still valid

The footer names the company: “Monkey Tilt is operated by Kong Quest Ltd, registration number 3-102-901020”, with an address in Escazú, San José, Costa Rica. It is “licensed and regulated under the Gaming Act by the Tobique Gaming Commission”. Payments went through an agent, Green Cage Ltd, registered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The company line in the MonkeyTilt footer, 19 October 2026.

A Costa Rica company with an offshore licence is a common setup in crypto gambling. Thrill and Gamdom work the same way, with Anjouan licences.

We opened the validator linked from the MonkeyTilt footer on 19 October. It lists Kong Quest Limited, the address in San Rafael de Escazú and two websites, www.monkeytilt.com and monkeytilt.com. The licensee “is authorised to offer games of chance in accordance with the Tobique Gaming Act 2023”. Operating status: VALID.

The Tobique validator for monkeytilt.com, generated on 19 October 2026.

That fits the notice. MonkeyTilt says the licence “is being surrendered”, which describes a process still under way. The page shows no licence number. We will open it again after 9 November. During the Gamdom outage, a validator we had seen at VALID read INVALID eight days later. Our post on the Curaçao regulator leak shows why a licence page is worth checking more than once.

MonkeyTilt in dates and dollars

MonkeyTilt was the crypto casino with a Las Vegas pedigree. Founder and CEO Sam Kiki grew up in Las Vegas, studied neuroscience at Amherst and worked at MGM Resorts and at Caesars Interactive, where he was head of product and strategy. He has also played on High Stakes Poker. The money followed the résumé.

Two numbers in that table do not meet. In November 2024 the company said “over $50M”. In May 2026 Kiki said “over $80 million” and listed himself among the investors. We found no announcement of a round that covers the gap. MonkeyTilt also said it reached about $200 million a month in betting volume within eight months of launch. That is the company’s own figure.

One quote from May reads differently now. Kiki said then: “We are not here to build a Stake clone like everyone else. We are building the first social-driven, everything platform for risk taking.” Five months later his letter says the world “does not need another crypto casino”.

How fair is this closure? Our checklist

A closing casino owes its players a few things. We held MonkeyTilt’s notice against each one.

What players needWhat MonkeyTilt says
A clear closing dateYes. Play ended on 13 October, the site closes on 9 November
Rounds in progress settledYes. “Completed and settled as normal”
Bonus money releasedYes. Converted into withdrawable cash
No new withdrawal rulesYes. “No restrictions, holds or conditions because of the closure”. ID checks still apply
Withdrawals after the last dayPromised. The house “will attempt to return it to your registered payment method”
A contact that survives the closureYes. support@monkeytilt.com, “available after closure”
Notice before play stopsNone. The house says stopping at once was fairer
Open sports bets on future gamesNot addressed. The notice covers rounds already running and says nothing about pending bets
A reason on the noticeNo. It sits in a separate letter on the home page

Six of nine boxes are ticked, one of them on a promise. That is a good score for a closure. If you had a sports bet on a match after 13 October, check your bet history on Tilt Rips and ask support in writing what happened to it.

What MonkeyTilt has not answered

  • How much players hold. No total for open balances has been published.
  • Whether every withdrawal is paid on time. We have no account to test. The 24-48 hour figure is MonkeyTilt’s.
  • Pending sports bets. The notice is silent on bets placed before 13 October on games played after it.
  • The name behind Señor. The @senortilt profile gives no full name. It is verified and affiliated with Tilt Rips.
  • The $50 million and $80 million gap. No round we found explains it.
  • When the licence ends. “Being surrendered” has no end date.
  • What happens to your data. MonkeyTilt keeps “certain records for a set period after closure” and names privacy@monkeytilt.com for questions. It does not say how long.

Start small at any new house. A first withdrawal of a modest amount tells you more about a cashier than any welcome page.

A hard year to run a crypto casino

MonkeyTilt had what most new casinos only pitch. More than $50 million from known investors. A founder who ran product at Caesars. A partner to carry the risk of million-dollar hands. It still decided the casino was the part of the business to let go.

The bar keeps rising. Players expect payouts in minutes, rakeback every day and VIP limits that used to belong to Las Vegas. Licence pages change status in a week. Streamers, affiliates and promotions cost money every month, and a handful of giants compete for the same players. Kiki said it himself in May: “99 per cent of these startup casinos don’t actually have a bankroll.”

This autumn our news desk covered that pressure from several sides. Gamdom went offline on 13 October while its licence check turned INVALID. It opened again on 16 October and its lobby works today. Duel Blackjack Live went dark on 17 September after a studio incident and was dealing again by 5 October. Both were temporary outages, and both houses are running. MonkeyTilt is the one that chose to switch off the lights for good and wrote down the rules for leaving. It will probably not be the last house to go. Some will merge, some will move into other products, and some will simply stop.

Alex’s verdict

A closure can be a maintenance page and nothing else. MonkeyTilt published dates, settled open rounds, turned bonuses into cash and kept a support address alive after the end. On paper this is how a casino should leave.

Paper is the easy part. The test is the next three weeks of withdrawals, and the weeks after 9 November for anyone who misses the date. Until then, treat your MonkeyTilt balance as money in transit. Log in, verify, withdraw, save the proof.

I will check the validator again after 9 November and update this post. If you withdraw from MonkeyTilt, write the time it took in the comments. Real payout times from players are worth more than any line in a notice.

MonkeyTilt had no say in this post. Quotes from MonkeyTilt come from its closure notice, its home page and its footer, read on 19 October 2026, and from the Señor Tilt account on X. The licence status comes from the Tobique validator linked in the MonkeyTilt footer, generated the same day. We have no MonkeyTilt balance and did not test a withdrawal. The cashier screenshots come from a Tilt Rips account with a zero balance. Withdrawal methods and times come from the Tilt Rips help centre. The cover is an illustration made for this article.

FAQ

Is MonkeyTilt closing?

Yes. Casino and sportsbook play stopped on 13 October 2026 and the site closes on 9 November 2026. MonkeyTilt says its licence is being surrendered.

How do I withdraw my MonkeyTilt balance?

Log in at tiltrips.com with your MonkeyTilt account, open Withdraw in the wallet, choose a method and an amount and confirm. Unverified accounts must send ID first at tiltrips.com/settings/verification.

Which withdrawal methods does Tilt Rips offer?

Twelve coins (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, BNB, XRP, TRX, LTC, DOGE, BCH and SHIB), plus Venmo, a Visa or Mastercard debit card and a bank account. Cash App, Google Pay, wire and Interac appear only on the deposit side.

Can I withdraw after 9 November 2026?

MonkeyTilt says yes. It also says it “will attempt to return it to your registered payment method” and keeps support@monkeytilt.com open after the closure. Withdrawing before the date is still the safer choice.

What happens to my bonus balance?

It is converted into cash that you can withdraw, according to the closure notice.

How long do MonkeyTilt withdrawals take?

The MonkeyTilt notice says “typically processed within 24-48 hours”. The Tilt Rips help centre aims for 1-3 hours and a final answer within 24 hours in most cases. We have not tested it. ID checks can add time for unverified accounts.

Why did MonkeyTilt close?

The closure notice gives no reason. A letter on the home page, also posted on X by @senortilt on 17 October 2026, says the team decided to focus “FULLY on collectibles” and to wind down, spin off or sell the casino and sportsbook.

When did Tilt Rips launch?

In mid-May 2026, in beta, five months before MonkeyTilt stopped play. By July the MonkeyTilt site was selling a $500 Tilt Rips pack with a $1,000,000 top prize.

Is Tilt Rips the same company as MonkeyTilt?

No. Tilt Rips is run by Tilt Rips LLC, a Nevada company founded by Sam Kiki. MonkeyTilt was run by Kong Quest Ltd of Costa Rica. Tilt Rips handles MonkeyTilt withdrawals and also sells card packs.

Is MonkeyTilt still licensed?

On 19 October 2026 the Tobique Gaming Commission validator showed VALID for monkeytilt.com, held by Kong Quest Limited. MonkeyTilt says the licence is being surrendered.

What if my withdrawal does not arrive?

Write to support@tiltrips.com or support@monkeytilt.com with your withdrawal ID and transaction hash. If the operator does not solve it, the Tobique validator page has a File a Complaint button for payout disputes.
