Thrill Moles
File by Alex Jovanovic · checked 1 November 2026
Moles is an original game from Thrill, built in house as part of Thrill Originals. It is a pick game. You choose how many holes and how many moles, hit a hole, and cash out or swing again. Three modes share one 98% RTP: Classic moves the moles after every hit, Find All asks you to clear one board, and Gold Hunt pays by the mole you hit. The 2% edge is taken once, on the first board. Every later hit is priced fair, so a long run costs the same as a single pick. Below are the odds and payouts for every board size, worked out from the published game code.
- 98% RTP
- 2% house edge
- Built by Thrill
- Classic, Find All, Gold Hunt
- 3 to 7 holes
- Edge taken once per round
- Halloween skin
- Provably Fair
01A Classic board after the round
02How a round works
Set the board
Pick Classic, Find All or Gold Hunt. Set Number of Holes from 3 to 7 and Number of Moles from 1 up to one less than the holes. Gold Hunt needs at least 2 moles and adds a risk level: Low, Mid or High.
Start
Enter a stake and press Start Playing. The info icon next to Bet Amount shows the most a bet can pay.
Hit a hole
Click a hole, press its number key, or use Pick Random Hole. A mole wins the step and raises the multiplier. An empty hole ends the round and the stake is lost.
Cash out
After any hit you can take Current Payout. Next Payout shows what one more hit would pay.
Round cap
The Classic text says up to 9 rounds. When the cap is reached the game shows Max Rounds Reached and the round has to be cashed.
03Three modes, one 98%
All three modes return 98% over time. They differ in how the board behaves after a hit and in how the prize grows.
| Mode | Game text | After a hit | Pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Hit shifting moles for up to 9 rounds. | A new board. The moles move. | 0.98 x (holes / moles) for the first hit, then holes / moles for each hit after it |
| Find All | Clear all moles without missing. | Same board. The hit mole is gone. | Grows as the board empties. A full clear pays 0.98 x the number of ways to place the moles |
| Gold Hunt | Hit golden moles for a high multiplier. | A new board with new values. | Each mole carries its own value. One gold mole has the largest. Values multiply hit by hit |
Our maths from the game code. The edge is taken from the first board only. Each later hit is priced fair, so the round as a whole keeps 2% of the stake however long you play it.
04Classic odds on every board
In Classic the chance of a hit is moles divided by holes, and it stays the same on every board because the moles move. The first hit pays 0.98 times holes divided by moles. Each hit after it multiplies the prize by holes divided by moles. Few moles in many holes means rare hits and fast growth.
| Board | Hit chance | 1 hit | 3 hits | 5 hits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 holes, 1 mole | 33.33% | 2.94x | 26.46x | 238.14x |

| 7 holes, 2 moles | 28.57% | 3.43x | 42.01x | 514.71x |
| 7 holes, 3 moles | 42.86% | 2.28x | 12.44x | 67.78x |
| 7 holes, 4 moles | 57.14% | 1.71x | 5.25x | 16.08x |
| 7 holes, 5 moles | 71.43% | 1.37x | 2.68x | 5.27x |
| 7 holes, 6 moles | 85.71% | 1.14x | 1.55x | 2.11x |
Our maths from the game code, cut to two decimals as the game shows them. Thrill also caps the win per round. The game warns before a bet could pass it.
05Find All: clear the board
Find All keeps one board. Each hit removes a mole, so the next pick is harder. A full clear is one exact pattern out of all the ways to place the moles. With 1 mole, or with every hole but one full, Find All works out the same as a single Classic pick, so the table starts at two moles and skips the board with one empty hole.
| Board | Clear chance | As a percent | Pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 holes, 2 moles | 1 in 6 | 16.67% | 5.88x |
| 5 holes, 2 moles | 1 in 10 | 10.00% | 9.80x |
| 5 holes, 3 moles | 1 in 10 | 10.00% | 9.80x |
| 6 holes, 2 moles | 1 in 15 | 6.67% | 14.70x |
| 6 holes, 3 moles | 1 in 20 | 5.00% | 19.60x |
| 6 holes, 4 moles | 1 in 15 | 6.67% | 14.70x |
| 7 holes, 2 moles | 1 in 21 | 4.76% | 20.58x |
| 7 holes, 3 moles | 1 in 35 | 2.86% | 34.30x |
| 7 holes, 4 moles | 1 in 35 | 2.86% | 34.30x |
| 7 holes, 5 moles | 1 in 21 | 4.76% | 20.58x |
Our maths from the game code. 7 holes with 3 or 4 moles is the top: 34.30x for 1 clear in 35. You can still cash out part way, at the multiplier for the moles found so far.
06Gold Hunt values
In Gold Hunt every mole carries a value. One is gold, and it always holds the largest. The values on a board add up to the number of holes, so the average hit returns exactly your stake. On the first board the lowest mole gives up the 2% edge, which is why it pays less there than on later boards. A non-gold mole can be worth less than 1x, so it lowers the multiplier. An empty hole loses the round.
| Risk and moles | Gold | Other moles, board 1 | Other moles, later boards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low, 2 moles | 6.10x | 0.76 | 0.90 |
| Low, 3 moles | 5.00x | 1.12, 0.74 | 1.12, 0.88 |

| Low, 5 moles | 2.40x | 1.43, 1.22, 1.07, 0.74 | 1.43, 1.22, 1.07, 0.88 |

| Mid, 2 moles | 6.29x | 0.57 | 0.71 |
| Mid, 3 moles | 5.32x | 1.07, 0.47 | 1.07, 0.61 |
| Mid, 4 moles | 3.89x | 1.63, 0.82, 0.52 | 1.63, 0.82, 0.66 |
| Mid, 5 moles | 2.97x | 1.33, 1.17, 0.82, 0.57 | 1.33, 1.17, 0.82, 0.71 |
| Mid, 6 moles | 2.76x | 1.17, 1.08, 0.77, 0.66, 0.42 | 1.17, 1.08, 0.77, 0.66, 0.56 |
| High, 2 moles | 6.80x | 0.06 | 0.20 |
| High, 3 moles | 6.03x | 0.66, 0.17 | 0.66, 0.31 |
| High, 4 moles | 5.42x | 0.82, 0.51, 0.11 | 0.82, 0.51, 0.25 |
| High, 5 moles | 4.45x | 0.87, 0.77, 0.61, 0.16 | 0.87, 0.77, 0.61, 0.30 |
| High, 6 moles | 4.08x | 0.83, 0.71, 0.66, 0.41, 0.17 | 0.83, 0.71, 0.66, 0.41, 0.31 |
Values rebuilt from the published fairness config. Gold is found in one pick out of the number of holes, so 1 in 7 here. High risk puts nearly all the value on gold: with 2 moles the other mole pays 0.06x on the first board. Low risk spreads it, and most other moles pay close to 1x.
07Luckiest: the setups behind the records
The record tabs give the bet and the multiplier, and the maths tells you the setup behind each Luckiest row. The top row, 22,068.37x, is Classic on 7 holes with 2 moles and 8 hits in a row. 14,539.33x is Gold Hunt on High with 7 holes and 2 moles: gold five times, 6.80 to the fifth power. That row also shows that Gold Hunt values multiply from board to board.
| Multiplier | Payout | Date | Our read |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22,068.37x | $793.72 | 29 Aug 26 | Classic, 7 holes, 2 moles, 8 hits |
| 19,289.34x | $137.85 | 17 Sep 26 | Classic, 9 hits on 3 holes with 1 mole or 6 holes with 2 moles |
| 15,312.50x | $109.38 | 19 Sep 26 | Classic, 5 holes, 1 mole, 6 hits |
| 14,539.33x | $104.45 | 16 Sep 26 | Gold Hunt High, 7 holes, 2 moles, gold 5 times |
| 7,620.48x | $163.06 | 21 Sep 26 | Classic, 6 holes, 1 mole, 5 hits |
The tab rounds stakes under a cent to $0.00. All five rows are long Classic or Gold Hunt runs on boards with few moles.
08Biggest Wins
Biggest Wins tops out at $113,162.49 on a $2,621.43 bet at 43.16x. Four Stealth rows used that stake within about two hours on 5 September 2026. We could not tie those four multipliers to one setup. The 7.84x row is three Classic hits on a half-full board, 0.98 x 2 x 2 x 2, on 4 holes with 2 moles or 6 holes with 3.
The oldest row is dated 27 August 2026, so the game was live by then.
09Autoplay and the hit sequence
Autoplay repeats one round setup. You click the holes you want in order to build the hit sequence, and the game shows the multiplier that sequence would pay. Undo and Clear fix the sequence. Number of Bets takes a count, with 20, 50 and an infinity button. In Gold Hunt, Auto Cashout At ends a run once the multiplier reaches your target.
The sequence can run up to 9 picks. In Find All it can hold at most one pick per mole.
10Configure Auto: stake rules and stops
Configure Auto sets what happens between rounds. On Win and On Loss each take Reset, which goes back to the base stake, or Increase By a percent. Stop On Profit and Stop On Loss end the run once your result passes a set amount. Apply saves the rules and Reset All clears them.
Increase By on a loss raises the stake after every lost round, so the total you wager grows fast. Set Stop On Loss first.
11Settings, speed and keys
The settings window has a Max Bet switch, which adds a max stake button to the bet box, plus Mute, Hotkeys and a Halloween Theme switch. Turn the theme off for the regular moles. Speed Modes runs the animations at Standard, Turbo or Beast. The keys work once hotkeys are on, and each one can be changed.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Space | Start Play / Cashout |
| 1 to 7 | Hit that hole |
| Q | Pick Random Hole |
| S | Double Bet Amount |
| A | Halve Bet Amount |
| D | Zero Bet Amount |
Default keys from the game code. Space both starts the round and cashes it, so one press too many takes the current payout.
12Check a board yourself
Moles uses a server seed, a client seed and a nonce. The Provably Fair window has Verifier, My Seeds and History tabs. My Seeds shows the active client seed, the hashed server seed and the nonce, which counts the bets made with that pair. Rotate swaps in a new pair and reveals the old server seed.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Commit | Thrill shows the hash of the server seed before you bet. |
| 2. Hash | HMAC-SHA512 runs with the server seed as the key over the client seed, the nonce and a cursor. |
| 3. Place | The bytes shuffle the holes, and the first ones in the shuffle get the moles. |
| 4. Gold | In Gold Hunt the values come from the published risk table and go to the moles in order. |
| 5. Check | After a rotate, hash the revealed server seed, match it to the commit and rebuild the board. |
A client seed must be 16 characters, and seeds rotate only with no round in play. Our provably fair guide walks through a full check.
13Live Stats
Live Stats counts Profit, Wagered, Wins and Losses, for all games or for one. In Moles a round you cash out counts as a win, and a round that ends on an empty hole counts as a loss.
14Original Nightmares challenges
Thrill runs Original Nightmares from 26 October to 2 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC, with $4,000 for the top 20. Moles is one of four games in it, with Plinko, Dice and Limbo. Points come from challenges, and bets of $0.20 or more count.
| Challenge | Task | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Graveyard Run | Moles Classic, reach stage 30 | 15 |
| Mummy Mayhem | Moles Gold Hunt, hit 3 Mummified Moles in a row, at least 4 holes | 10 |
| Enter the Haunted House | 10 qualifying bets, up to 1,000 bets per game | 2 |
| Maximum Terror | Hit the max win, once per game | 500 |
Prizes run $600, $500 and $400 for the top three, $250 for 4th and 5th, $200 for 6th to 10th and $100 for 11th to 20th, paid as Cash Drops within 24 hours. Three Mummified Moles in a row on 4 holes is a 1 in 64 shot. Stage 30 is far past the 9 rounds the Classic text names, so ask support how the stage is counted before you chase it.
15The same 98% at every exit
Cash out after one hit or after five and the long run return is still 98%. The exit only changes how often you win and how big the win is. The bars use Classic with 7 holes and 3 moles.
Our maths from the game code. Compare another pick game on our Stake Mines page. Rainbet also runs a Moles, and its game page printed 96.00% when we read it.
16How to play it well
- Choose the board for the swingEvery setup returns 98%. Many moles give frequent small wins. One mole in 7 holes wins one pick in 7.
- Cash out on a planPick your exit before the round. The odds of the next hit never improve after a run of hits.
- Watch the low moles in Gold HuntOn High a non-gold mole can cut the multiplier to a fraction. Low keeps those moles near 1x.
- Use Find All for one big targetClearing 7 holes with 3 moles pays 34.30x in one round, 1 clear in 35.
- Check the max payout firstThe info icon by Bet Amount shows the most a bet can pay. A large stake on a long run can hit that cap.
- Mind the Space keySpace starts and cashes the round. Turn hotkeys off when you leave the game.
- Set Stop On Loss in autoplayIncrease By on a loss grows the stake after every lost round.
17Questions players ask
What is the RTP of Thrill Moles?
The game page gives 98% RTP and a 2% house edge. All three modes return 98% at any cashout point.
Who makes Moles?
Thrill builds it in house as part of Thrill Originals.
What is the difference between Classic and Find All?
In Classic the moles move after every hit, so the hit chance stays the same. In Find All the board stays, each hit removes a mole and the next pick gets harder.
How does Gold Hunt pay?
Each mole has a value and the gold one has the largest. Your multiplier is the product of the values you hit. On High with 7 holes and 2 moles, gold pays 6.80x on every board.
Does a longer round cost more?
No. The 2% edge is taken on the first board only. Each later hit is priced fair, so the cost per round stays 2% of the stake.
How many rounds can I play in Classic?
The game text says up to 9. When the cap is reached the game shows Max Rounds Reached and you cash out.
What is the biggest win on Moles?
On 1 November 2026 Biggest Wins topped out at $113,162.49, a $2,621.43 bet at 43.16x. The Luckiest tab topped out at 22,068.37x.
Can I turn off the Halloween look?
Yes. Game Settings has a Halloween Theme switch.
Is Moles provably fair?
Yes. It uses a server seed, a client seed and a nonce with HMAC-SHA512. Rotate the seeds to reveal the server seed and rebuild any board.
Moles is honest about its price. You pay 2% once, at the first hole, and every hit after that is fair. Pick the board for the swing you can stand, decide your exit before you swing, and in Gold Hunt look at the small moles before you choose High.
